1.28.18 – You Belong Here

  1. Do you make New Years resolutions each year? Why or why not?
  2. If you make New Years resolutions, what ones have you kept or not kept?
  3. What insight, principle or observation from this weekend’s message did you find most helpful, eye opening or troubling?
  4. How do you feel about the idea of taking inventory? What things do you tend to take inventory of?  ie. business, marriage, time management and commitments, etc.
  5. Take a look at the following verses and discuss what principles and lessons you draw from these passages. Take some time to share with each other how these verses speak to you.  (HINT:  If you have a Bible App look have different members of your group read different translations of the same verse, i.e. NIV, NLT, KJV, MSG): Lamentations 3:40, Psalm 139:23-24, Psalm 139:1-10, Psalm 26:2
  6. Read Isaiah 6:1-8. This passage gives the account of what happened after Isaiah’s cousin, King Uzziah, died.  What was Isaiah’s response to the loss of his King, cousin, and friend?  How do we respond to bad news?  What can Isaiah teach us about our response?
  7. Is there a time in your life that made you really stop and evaluate your life, priorities, and commitments? Take a chance and share with the group how this time or moment changed your life.
  8. What one thing this year do you feel God revealing to you to evaluate and take inventory of in your life?
  9. Pray for each other!
