What To Expect

If it’s your first time visiting Hutch First Naz, we are honored to have you as our guest! We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating. Below are a few frequently asked questions that may help you plan your visit.

If you have kids with you (birth through 5th grade), the south entrance is the perfect place for you to enter the building. If you won’t be checking in any kids in our kid’s area, the north and west entrances (closest to Monroe St and 43rd St) are for you.

As you enter the building, our greeters will meet you and can show you where to find the sanctuary, restrooms, kid’s area or even the free coffee. If you need anything throughout your visit, feel free to stop by the Info Table in either of the foyers.

Services last a little over one hour. We start by singing a few songs together. It’s okay if you don’t know the words! The lyrics will be on the screen for you to follow. Then the speaker, typically our lead pastor, Kent Pedersen, shares a message. At a point in the service, offering plates will be passed as we give together. If you’re a guest, please don’t feel obligated to give!
Don’t feel like you have to dress up. You’ll see people in everything from suits and dresses to casual shorts. You are welcome to wear whatever you’re comfortable in.
That depends on the style of service and music that you prefer!

Our 9:15 AM service is our traditional service. You can expect to hear the classic hymns of the church accompanied by choir and orchestra.

Our 10:45 AM service is our contemporary service. You can expect to hear modern worship songs led by drums, guitars, keyboards, and a vocal team.

Both services feature the same message.

In Hutch First Naz Kids, children birth through 5th grade experience Jesus on their level. Kids love our safe, age-appropriate environment where they can have their own time with singing, a Bible lesson, and time with our great adult leaders in a smaller group setting.

We’ve all felt at some point or another like we don’t belong. No matter what is in your past or present, there is hope for you in Jesus. And because you matter to Him, you matter to us. At Hutch First Naz, you’re welcome to belong before you believe. We’ll see you on Sunday!
