This Changes Everything – First Impressions

1. What is something or someone who made a great first impression on you? How did it or they make you feel?
2. What is something or someone that made a bad first impression on you? How did it or they make you feel? What was the result of the impression?
3. Read 2 Corinthians 5:1-21.
A. If you were to share a three point message from this passage, what would be the three things you would emphasize or highlight?
B. Pastor Kent shared that 85% of people have a favorable view of Jesus while only 43% have a favorable view of Christians. Do you agree or disagree with that finding? What are your thoughts on that study
4. If we are Christ’s ambassadors and if God is trying to make His appeal through us, in what ways do you feel we as a church are doing a good job of being ambassadors? In what ways do you feel we could improve?
5. Now personalize the last question. In what ways do you feel you are being a good ambassador and in what ways do you feel you can improve?
6. If there was one thing you would have like to have discussed further in the message what would it have been? Why?
7. Of the five challenges shared today, what is one or two that you feel you can do to contribute to our church to make it a great first impression?
8. Pray as a group and include in your prayers for all of us to grow as Christ’s ambassadors.
