(Mothers of Preschoolers)
Here at MOPS, we are on a mission to celebrate motherhood.
We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own cities, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom.
This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.
In Hutchinson, the needs of mothers are primarily met through local meetings. The Hutchinson MOPS group meets on the first and third Fridays of each month, from September through May, from 9am to 11am at the First Church of the Nazarene. Childcare is provided in a Sunday school type setting (Bible story, craft, snacks, playtime) so moms can be nurtured without distraction. Meetings usually consist of a time of informal conversation with snacks, a speaker who covers topics dealing with the physical, emotional, or spiritual health of the mothers, their children and their families, a structured discussion group or a creative activity. For more information on MOPS please go to mops.org.
MOPS International requires an enrollment fee, which provides you with Mom Connection Benefits. Ongoing annual benefits include: weekly Mom e-mails, the MOPS magazine, and more. In addition to the enrollment fee, our local group collects dues also that cover the materials and supplies needed to keep the meetings going! There are some changes this year to our dues from MOPS International.
Local dues: $50/full year or $25/semester
One year membership: $31.95
This charge is the same for each mom, regardless of the number of children you have enrolled in MOPS kids (the children’s program). We want every mom to be able to receive the benefits that MOPS has to offer. If you plan to attend this year, please register online! This way we will know how many moms and children to plan for.
